The grapes are grown in the scenic Abruzzo mountains and use the 'appassimento' method, where the grape bunches are dried for around 20 days before fermentation. This technique increases the sugar content and adds extra body and complexity to the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 4 months on its lees in steel
