In 1997, he graduated with honors from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
In 2000, he completed postgraduate studies (Sports Journalism).
From 2017 to 2020, he studied in the Doctoral Program in Social Sciences at the Georgian Technical University. He defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Social Sciences (PhD).
In 2000, he began working at the Department of History and Management of the Sports Academy as a lecturer.
From 2007 to 2009, he worked at Ilia State University.
Since 2010, he has been working at Tbilisi Public School No. 8 as a physical education and sports teacher. He is a certified and leading teacher (granted leading teacher status in 2021).
Since 2014, has been working at the Georgian State University of Sport in the Department of Theory, Methodology, Management, and History of Physical Education, initially as a visiting assistant and later as a senior specialist. He teaches the history of sports and the Olympic Games.
From 2014 to 2015, he worked as a trainer at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
Since 2015, he has participated in various programs of the Ministry of Education and Science, including:
He was a winner of the Georgian National and Student Championships in Athletics.
He has participated in scientific conferences.
He was Chairman of the Student and Postgraduate Union, on behalf of which numerous sports, scientific, and creative events were organized.
He led labor semesters aimed at the study and restoration of historical monuments.
He led student expeditions.
Mamuka Maghlakelidze has published scientific articles in both local and international peer-reviewed journals, including publications in Russia.
He has participated in numerous international and local scientific conferences.
Since 2021, he has been an Associate Professor at the Georgian State University of Sport and a member of the Academic Council.
