Ketevan Beridze

Education

In 1992, Ketevan Beridze graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute, Faculty of Pediatrics.
From 1999 to 2003, she was a researcher at the I. Phagava Pediatric Scientific-Research Institute.
In 2003, she was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (equivalent to Doctor of Medicine since 2004).

Work Experience

From 1997 to 1999, she worked as a teacher at the Eco-School of the Association “Center for Human Ecology.”
From 1999 to 2006, she served as first a junior, and then a senior research associate at the I. Phagava Pediatric Scientific-Research Institute.
Since 2014, she has been working at the State University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia as an Associate Professor.
Ketevan Beridze is also the Head of the Quality Assurance Office at the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the same university.

Ketevan Beridze is the head of the master’s degree program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
She is the author of 22 articles (16 in dietetics-nutrition, 3 in medical ecology, and 3 in physical medicine).
She is the author of 2 supplementary textbooks.
She holds 2 patents for inventions.
Expert at the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, and at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia in the field of food safety and nutrition.
She is the Secretary of the Public Health Higher Education Sectoral Council at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE).
She is a member of the Authorization and Accreditation Experts Corps at the NCEQE.
Actively involved in continuous medical education and professional development programs.
She has developed nutrition standards and therapeutic meal plans for the Georgian Armed Forces, as well as nutrition plans for Olympic teams and trainees at Olympic reserve schools in Georgia.
