Education

In 1972, Karlo Moistsrapishvili graduated from the Faculty of Physics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
In 1986, he was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
In 2000, he received the academic title of Associate Professor.
In 2004, he defended his doctoral dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Work Experience

1964–1965 Worked at Tbilisi State University.
1966–1968 Worked at the Isotope Laboratory in Tbilisi.
1968–1986 Worked at the Institute of Physics, Georgian Academy of Sciences.
1986–2007 Employed at the State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
2007–2009 Taught at Tbilisi State Medical University.
2007–2011 Invited lecturer at Ilia State University.
Since 2010 Teaching at “Geomedi” Medical Teaching University.
Since 2014 Professor at the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport.
Since 2018 Head of the Department of Biomechanics and Computer Technologies at the same university.

Additional Information

He has published 119 scientific papers, including two inventions.
Among these, 54 articles have been published in international scientific journals, 28 in impact factor journals, 31 in refereed publications, and 47 papers were presented at international conferences.
13 articles have been published in national scientific journals, and 2 papers were presented at local conferences.
He is the author of 11 teaching aids recommended by the Ministry of Education.
He participated in one project dedicated to the development of sports science.
Many of his scientific works are of high academic value and are indexed in the Scopus database.
From 1970 to 1990, he was a member of the Georgian national sailing team.
In 1990, he participated in the maritime expedition “The Silk Road – Route of Dialogue,” organized under the auspices of UNESCO (route: Poti – Genoa – Poti), conducted on a sailing vessel.
In 1974, he was awarded the title of Republican Category Judge in sailing.
In 2019, he received the title of Honored Worker of Sport in Georgia.
