Education

In 2003, Ekaterine Maruashvili graduated from Ilia Chavchavadze State University of Language and Culture with a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, qualifying as a secondary school English language teacher.
In 2006, she completed her Master’s degree at the same university, earning an academic degree in English Language Teaching Theory and Practice.
In 2013, she obtained a PhD in Philology from the Georgian Technical University. Her dissertation, defended before the Faculty of Business Engineering, was titled Statistical Analysis of Speech Style (Based on the English Language).
In 2009, she completed a full English language course at Burlington School in London, UK.
Since 2003, she has been actively engaged in academic and teaching work in various higher education institutions.
She has authored around 50 publications in both local and international journals and has participated in numerous international scientific conferences.

Work Experience

From 2003 to 2010, Ekaterine Maruashvili worked as a senior teacher at Ilia State University.
From 2006 to 2020, she served as an Associate Professor at David Agmashenebeli University of Georgia.
Between 2012 and 2018, she worked as an Associate Professor at the Euroregional Teaching University.
From 2022 to 2023, she was an invited professor at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), Faculty of Business Administration.
Since 2021, she has been the Head of the English Philology Program and Professor at Tbilisi Humanitarian University.
Since 2020, she has served as an Associate Professor at the State University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.
Since 2021, she has also been an invited professor and doctoral thesis supervisor at Akaki Tsereteli State University.
