Iuri Gonadze

Education

In 1963, Iuri Gonadze graduated from the Georgian State Institute of Physical Culture.

Work Experience

In 1965, he began working at the Georgian Scientific Research Institute of Physical Culture (starting as a senior laboratory assistant and later becoming Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs). At the same time, he taught the subject of Table Tennis at the Georgian State Institute of Physical Culture.
From 1981 to 1985, he worked at the Sports Committee as Head of the Department of Sports Medicine and Science.
Since 2004, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport.

Additional Information

He has published more than 80 scientific papers on sports training and sports physiology.
He is the author of a book on table tennis and is a national-level referee.
His trainees have won the Georgian Championship title three times.
From 1991 to 2005, he served as President of the Table Tennis Committee of Georgia.
In 1998, he was recognized as the Best Coach-Pedagogue.
He holds the honorary title of Meritorious Worker of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia.
