Meri Pataraia

In 1999, Meri Pataraia graduated from the Pedagogical Faculty of the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport. Her secondary specialization was in Therapeutic Physical Training and Rehabilitation. She was awarded qualifications as a Physical Education and Sport Teacher, as well as a Specialist in Therapeutic Physical Training and Rehabilitation.
In 2002, she graduated from the Medical Institute “Medikori” named after Ivane Beritashvili, under the Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport, with a specialization in General Medicine and was awarded the qualification of General Practitioner.
In 2008, she defended her dissertation and was awarded a PhD in Medicine.

2005–2007 – Lecturer at the Department of Sports Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation, and Adaptation, Georgian State Academy of Physical Education and Sport
2007 – Lecturer at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Ilia Chavchavadze State University
2007–2019 – Invited Lecturer at the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, in the field of Physical Medicine, Tbilisi State Medical University
2012–2015 – Assistant Professor at Interbusiness Academy
2012–2015 – Lecturer at the Irakli Faghava Academy “Dastakari”
2014–present – Associate Professor at the Georgian State Teaching University of Physical Education and Sport
2014–present – Lecturer at the Public College of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia

She has published 17 scientific papers.
She is the author of two teaching manuals.
