Neli Papukashvili

Education

In 1985, Neli Papukashvili graduated from the Faculty of Public Professions of the Institute of Physical Culture, specializing in sports journalism, and was awarded the qualification of Sports Journalist.
In 1986, she graduated with honors from the Georgian State Institute of Physical Culture and was awarded the qualification of Coach-Teacher in Acrobatics.
In 1986, she also received the qualification of Methodologist-Rehabilitologist from the Department of Therapeutic Physical Training.
From 1987 to 1990, she completed a full postgraduate course at the same institute and presented a dissertation on the topic: “The Role of Aesthetic Education in the Training of High-Qualification Athletes in Sports Acrobatics.”
From 2015 to 2017, she studied at the Doctoral Program in the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Business Engineering, Georgian Technical University. She successfully defended her dissertation on July 17, 2017, and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Social Sciences.

Work Experience

1986–1987 – Methodologist-Rehabilitologist at the Republican Boarding School for Children with Scoliosis.
1990–2001 – Teacher at the Department of Gymnastics at the Georgian State Institute of Physical Culture, specializing in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
2001–2007 – Senior Teacher at the same department, specializing in Sports Acrobatics.
2007–2010 – Teacher of Theory and Practice of Massage at Medical College “GBT”.
2007–2012 – Lecturer in Trampoline at the Faculty of Sport, Ilia State University.
2012–2013 – Lecturer in Trampoline at the Faculty of Sport, Ilia State University.
2014–2017 – Assistant Professor at Ilia State University, specializing in Fundamentals of Gymnastics.
2017–Present – Associate Professor at the Department of Gymnastics, Georgian State University of Sport, Doctor of Social Sciences.

Additional Information

Member of the Board of the Georgian Gymnastics National Federation and consultant for the national sports acrobatics team from 2000 to 2022.
Has participated in numerous international and local courses on sports administration, including those organized by the Georgian National Olympic Committee (in 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2016).
In 2019, was granted the status of Leading Teacher in the subject of Sport.
On October 11, 2024, was awarded the status of Mentor in the subject of Sport.
