Rusudan Mzhavanadze

Education

Rusudan Mzhavanadze graduated from Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1977.
In 1989, she defended her dissertation at Kyiv State Medical Institute on the topic: “Hygienic Regulation of Potassium-Containing Mineral Fertilizers and the Study of Their Negative Effects on Human Organ Systems.” Based on the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission, she was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences, which, according to the Law of Georgia on Higher Education (December 21, 2004), is recognized as equivalent to a doctoral degree.

Work Experience

Since 1978, she has worked at the G. Natadze Scientific Research Institute of Sanitation and Hygiene, advancing from junior research assistant to lead specialist and head of the Environmental Hygiene Laboratory.
Since 1980, she has been engaged in teaching at various institutions including Tbilisi Medical School No. 1, Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgian University of Quality Management, Medical Institute “Dastakari,” Medical Academy, University “Metekhi,” and the Kyiv University branch “Guma Meridian.” She has delivered lectures and practical sessions in Human Normal and Topographic Anatomy, holding positions as assistant, associate professor, and full professor.
Since 2014, she has been working at the Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, and Biochemistry at the State University of Physical Education and Sport of Georgia as an Associate Professor. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Anatomy and Sports Morphology.

Additional Information

She is the author of more than 60 scientific papers and around 10 textbooks and teaching manuals. Her scientific works have been published in the proceedings of international conferences. She regularly supervises student projects for student conferences and participates in undergraduate thesis defense commissions.
She also frequently attends various training programs to enhance her professional and pedagogical qualifications.
