About the Faculty

The Faculty of Coaching at the Georgian Sports University offers modern academic programs designed to prepare professional coaches, educators, analysts, and leaders. Our mission is to educate specialists who will be able to maximize the potential of athletes.

We constantly integrate international standards into our curricula to provide our graduates with not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills and tools. This guarantees their career advancement and success.


Academic Programs
The faculty offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Bachelor’s Program: “Physical Education and Sports (Coaching)”
This program is focused on training highly qualified personnel for both the local and international labor market. The program aims to prepare competitive coaches who will have in-depth knowledge and research skills. To achieve this, the program includes:

  • Sports Training Methodology: An in-depth study of training principles, tools and methods.
  • Safety and Ethics: An introduction to refereeing rules, safety aspects and legal and ethical regulations of sports.
  • Social and Historical Context: An analysis of the role of sport in society and the study of the historical development of the Olympic Movement.


60-credit program: “Teacher Training Educational Program (Physical Education and Sports)”
The program aims to prepare teachers with the competence of primary, basic and secondary school teachers. The program complies with the professional standards of the teacher and ensures that graduates have all the skills necessary for teaching.
After completing the program, a physical education teacher will be able to:

  • Management of the pedagogical process taking into account the age and abilities of students.
  • Integration of adolescents with disabilities and their involvement in both group and individual activities.
