The academic structure of the university is based on the activities of departments, which provide high-level teaching and research in both practical and theoretical disciplines.

The departments of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are important centers of educational, scientific and innovative activities, the main goal of which is to deepen the professional competencies of students, create modern knowledge and effectively implement it in practice.

The activities of the faculty include high-quality organization of the educational process, involvement in scientific and research projects, development of new methodological materials, strengthening international academic partnerships and introducing modern approaches in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

At the departments of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, students master anatomy, physiology, biology and other important subjects that ensure the formation of highly qualified sports rehabilitation specialists.

  • Department of Kinesiology – focuses on the science of human movement, its functional assessment and modern methods of correction. Students master treatment and rehabilitation methods based on the analysis of body biomechanics, neuromuscular control and mobility. Special attention is paid to the development of practical skills and a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Department of Georgian and Foreign Languages ​​- provides the development of both professional terminology and general communication skills in Georgian, English and other foreign languages. The teaching is focused on strengthening conversational language skills in the fields of physical education and sports, medicine and rehabilitation, which is necessary for international cooperation and professional communication.
  • Department of Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biology and Biochemistry – provides fundamental knowledge about the structure and functions of the human body. The program covers key aspects of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and biology, which are necessary for assessing the health status of athletes and planning effective rehabilitation.
  • Department of Biomechanics and Computer Technologies – develops modern approaches to movement analysis and technological support of physical rehabilitation processes. Students master biomechanical modeling, movement dynamics assessment tools, and computer technologies, which ensure high efficiency of individually tailored rehabilitation.
